Buena Park HS: Was selected to play in the North-South All-Star Game after his senior season… Was an All-CIF selection his senior season, as well as earning 1^st Team All-Freeway League… Voted his team’s Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior… Posted 88 tackles, with seven quarterback sacks, five tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and one interception… Also registered one safety and scored a touchdown… Finished with 56 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries as a junior… Voted the Rookie of the Year as a sophomore after he had 34 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, along with a forced fumble and fumble recovery… Was the Most Valuable Player on the freshman football and basketball teams… Named the basketball team’s Most Valuable Player as a junior… Spent two years on the basketball team and three on the track and field team…..
