Cerritos (2007):
Earned 1st Team All-Mission
Conference National Division honors… Despite
being double-teamed on every play, he still
posted 38 tackles, five tackles for loss and
four quarterback hurries… Also added one
quarterback sacks, forced fumble and blocked
kick… Had a season-high seven tackles against
Golden West College and Santa Ana College… Also
had two tackles for loss against Golden West…
Added five stops against Riverside College and
Long Beach City College… Came in as a blocker on
short yardage situations near the goal line…
Paramount HS:
Was a three-time 1st Team All-San
Gabriel Valley League selection on defense,
while he earned all-league recognition as an
offensive lineman his junior and senior years…
Voted his team’s Defensive Lineman of the Year
as a senior after being named to the Press
Telegram Dream Team as a junior… Recorded 80
tackles to go along with seven quarterback
sacks, five forced fumbles and scored three
touchdowns as a senior… Finished with 69 stops,
eight sacks and scored three touchdowns his
junior season… Garnered the team’s Most Improved
Player and Hardest Hitter Award his sophomore
year after posting 84 tackles and nine
quarterback sacks… As a freshman, he was voted
the team’s Most Valuable Player and had 71
tackles…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he recorded 17
tackles and three sacks, while scoring one
touchdown against Downey High his junior year…
Is working on a minor in communications and
aspires to be an airline pilot… Would like to
transfer to the University of
California-Berkeley or the University or Oregon…
Likes to spend time with family and friends and
play the ukulele in his spare time… Nicknamed
“The Beast”… His brother Junior (21) is his
teammate and he has several cousins that also
play football… Has four other siblings – Tony
(28), Jessie (27), Ui (25) and Denise (20)… Is
the son of Timali and Corina Tivao… Born in
Lynwood, CA….. |
