Posted four tackles on the year, with two of
them coming against East Los Angeles… Also
returned one punt for seven yards…..
Cerritos Baseball (2009):
Was an outfielder on the Falcon baseball team…
Appeared in 24 games and started 19 times…
Batted .325 with two doubles, two triples and 14
RBI… Also stole 9-of-11 bases…..
Gahr HS:
As a wide receiver his senior year, he had 800
yards, while he picked off four passes as a
defensive back… Scored 10 touchdowns on the
year, which included two on kickoff returns… Was
selected to play in the 605 All-Star Game… In
half a season as a junior, he scored seven
touchdowns and pulled in 34 passes… Spent three
years on the football team and four on the
baseball team… Named All-CIF and 1st
Team All-San Gabriel Valley League as a junior
on the baseball team, while batting .380… Was
coached on the baseball team by former Falcon
player and coach Gerardo Perez…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he had five
catches for 176 yards and two touchdowns against
La Serna High in football and when he got a hit
and stole a base off Aaron Hicks, who was
recently selected in the Major League baseball
draft… Aspires to be either an athletic trainer
or a coach… Likes to play the piano and write
lyrics in his spare time… Nicknamed “LJ”… Has
three siblings – R.J. (32), John (25) and Raynal
(19)….. Is the son of Charlene Johnson… Born in
Inglewood, CA on June 24, 1989….. |
