Was a very versatile player for the Falcons, as
he also returned punts and kickoffs… Named 1st
Team All-National Division Central Conference as
a free safety and return specialist… Finished
second on the team with 69 tackles (33 solo),
along with four pass breakups, two
interceptions, one fumble recovery and a ½
tackle for loss… As a kick returner, he led the
team with 17 returns for 540 yards (31.8
average), while he added six punt returns for
100 yards (16.7 average)… Had a season-high 11
tackles (five solo) against Riverside, while he
finished with 10 against Ventura, eight against
Palomar and seven against Mt. San Antonio,
Chaffey and Santa Monica… Returned a season-high
five kickoffs for 150 yards against Palomar,
while he had three for 112 yards against El
Camino and four for 114 yards Long Beach City…
Posted a season-high three punt returns for 67
yards against East Los Angeles…..

Player of the Area his senior year… Also named 1st
Team All-CIF as a senior and was a two-time 1st
Team All-San Gabriel Valley League selection…
Posted 167 tackles with 11 interceptions and
scored five touchdowns as a senior, while he
posted 88 stops with three interceptions and
scored two touchdowns as a junior… Named 2nd
Team all-league as a sophomore after he
registered 30 tackles, two interceptions and
scored two touchdowns… Also spent three years on
the track and field team…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he had 20
tackles, two interceptions and scored three
touchdowns on his birthday in a game against
Lynwood High his junior year… Would like to
transfer to any PAC-10 school… His uncle played
football at the University of Wyoming… Likes to
play football and video games in his spare time…
Nicknamed “EJ”… Has one sister – LaPorsha (22)…
Is the son of Eric and Ginger Russell… Born in
