Liberty HS: High school is located in Bakersfield, CA… Started at quarterback and led the team to three SEYL championships, while he earned his team’s Most Valuable Player award his sophomore year… Team voted him their captain all three years… Awarded the Freedom Bowl's Most Valuable Player his senior year as well as being an All-Area pick.....

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he was 12-for-16 for 250 yards and three touchdowns, along with a rushing touchdown and when he threw an 87-yard touchdown pass against Golden Valley High… Likes to go fishing, wakeboarding and snowboarding in his spare time… Has two siblings – Tyler (21) and Troy (11)… Is the son of Henry and Carol Slayton… Born in Anaheim, CA on August 11, 1991…..
