The Falcons (9-1), who are preparing for their upcoming Southern California Regional Playoff Game against Palomar College on Saturday, had one player who was a unanimous selection. Sophomore running back Tylik Carter (Long Beach Jordan HS), who is lost for the season due to an injury, received first place votes from all of the other coaches in the conference.

Named to the 1st Team on offense along with Carter were center Jeff Houser (St. John Bosco HS) and tackle Jarrell Winston (Woodrow Wilson, D.C. HS), who was a 2nd Team selection as a freshman. Sophomore quarterback Chris Morales (La Habra HS) and one of his wide receivers, Joshua Robbins (La Mirada HS) were named to the 1st Team, as well as all-purpose player Eric Russell (Gahr HS). In fact, Russell was also a 1st Team selection at defensive back and received the same honors his freshman year.

The two linemen, along with freshman guard Fou Fonati (Mayfair HS), who was a 2nd Team pick, helped the offense generate 403 points and 4,178 yards on the year. As for Morales, he has thrown for 2,210 yards, which is just 65 yards away from breaking the single-season record of 2,264 in 1998 by Ryan Matthews. Robbins is second on the team with 32 receptions for 502 yards and is second with seven touchdowns. Russell, one of the most versatile players in school history, has 16 kick returns for 518 yards (32.4 average) and an 85-yard touchdown, while he has returned eight punts for 210 yards (26.2 average). On defense, he leads the secondary with 50 tackles and has picked off four passes for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns against El Camino College last Saturday. In addition he has 12 pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, two tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

Sophomore return specialist Tavoy Moore (Gahr HS) was a 1st Team pick, while sophomore linebacker Cee Jay Harris (Long Beach Wilson HS) was joined by sophomore defensive lineman Deon Goggins (Palisades HS) on defense. Harris leads the team with 86 tackles, while Goggins has posted 35 stops to go along with his 10 tackles for loss and seven quarterback sacks.

Moore, who is also out with an injury, is second on the team with 10 kickoff returns for 318 yards (31.8 average) and a touchdown, while he caught 10 passes for 218 yards and three scores as a wide receiver. Harris leads the team with 86 tackles and has added six tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries, as well as an interception, forced fumble and pass breakup. Goggins has contributed 35 stops on the year with seven tackles for loss, seven quarterback sacks and five quarterback hurries.
