Joining the Cerritos College coaching staff is former player Darrell Tupuola. In 2006, Tupuola was a sophomore defensive tackle, who earned the team’s Z-Man Award after posting 18 tackles with three tackles for loss for the Falcons. A transfer from Santa Barbara City College, Tupuola went on to play two years at Azusa Pacific University, where he was dominant on the defensive line. A graduate of Long Beach Poly High, Tupuola helped his tam win three straight Moore League championships, while they also won the national Championship and CIF Championship one year.
