Cerritos (2009):
Named 2nd Team All- Northern Division
Central Conference… Finished third on the team
with 61 tackles, which included 24 solo stops…
Also added 4½ tackles for loss, two quarterback
sacks, two fumble recoveries, eight quarterback
hurries, two pass break-ups, one interception
and a forced fumble… Posted a season-high 12
tackles against College of the Desert, while he
added 11 stops against Santa Monica College…
Along with his six tackles against Citrus
College, he also added an interception for 23
yards, a fumble for 16 yards, 1½ tackles for
loss and a sack, forced fumble and fumble
recovery..…
Cerritos (2008):
Missed the season due to an injury…..
Garfield HS:
Named the Los Angeles City Player of the Year as
a senior after helping his team win the City
Championship… Finished with 159 tackles (102
solo), nine quarterback sacks and one
interception, while he scored six touchdowns…
Was also named the Eastern League Player of the
Year, as well as 1st Team All-City
and was a 1st Team all-league
selection as a tight end… In his junior year, he
was named the league’s Defensive Player of the
Year, while garnering All-City and all-league
recognition… Posted 126 tackles (98 solo), five
sacks and one interception to go along with
three touchdowns… Also named 1st Team
all-league as a sophomore and freshman… Had 30
tackles as a sophomore and 56 his freshman
year…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he recorded a
school-record 18 tackles (14 solo), eight
tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks and two
deflected passes against San Pedro High in his
sophomore year… Is working on a minor in sports
medicine and would like to transfer to any
PAC-12 school or Penn State… Aspires to be a
sports broadcaster… Likes to cook in his spare
time… Three of his brothers – Jesse (Cal State
Hayward), Jaime (Citrus College) and Miguel
(Pasadena City College) – played football… Has
three other brothers – Alfred (46), Danny (25)
and Ralph (22)… Nicknamed “D-Lo”… Is the son of
Jesus and Maria Del Rosario-Lopez… Born in
Hollywood, CA on February 15, 1990….. |
