Cerritos Football (2009):
As the team’s back-up quarterback, he completed
14-of-30 passes for 193 yards and two
touchdowns… Also rushed 17 times for 144 yards
and one touchdown… Completed 5-of-10 passes for
a season-high 88 yards against East Los Angeles
College, while he had a 38-yard touchdown pass
against Long Beach City College and a
four-yarder against Santa Monica College… Ran
for a season-high 47 yards on four carries
against Riverside College…..
Cerritos Basketball (2009-10):
Joined the basketball team at the conclusion of
the football season… Appeared in 12 games and
averaged 1.9 points a game… Netted 5-of-15
three-pointers on the year and scored a
season-high seven points against Los Angeles
Southwest College… Also hit a pair of
three-pointers against East Los Angeles
College…..
North Torrance HS:
Named the Pioneer League Most Valuable Player
his senior year after passing for 2,800 yards
and 23 touchdowns, while rushing for 900 yards
and nine touchdowns… Also named All-CIF,
All-Area, 1st Team all-league and was
voted his team’s Most Valuable Player… Threw for
over 1,500 yards and 12 scores his junior season
and was selected 1st Team all-league
and was named his team’s Most Valuable Player…
Voted the team’s MVP as a sophomore and was the
Offensive Player of the Year his freshman year…
Spent two seasons on the basketball team and was
selected the league’s Most Outstanding Player,
as well as All-CIF, All-Area and all-league…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he threw for 327
yards and six touchdowns his senior year against
Lawndale High, as well as when he scored the
winning two-point conversion against Mira Costa
High in a fourth quarter comeback… Would like to
transfer to any PAC-12 school… Aspires to be
either a sports agent or college coach… Likes to
play basketball in his spare time… Nicknamed “B.J.”…
Has five siblings – Gunner (16), Hannah (14),
Brindy (9), Landon (4) and Lawson (4)… Is the
son of Norton and Nanci Denker… Born in
Torrance, CA on December 14, 1990….. |
