his freshman season at Hope International.....
Lynwood HS:
Was
the team’s Defensive Player of the Year four
years in a row… Named 1st Team
All-San Gabriel Valley League as a senior after
averaging 15 points and five rebounds a game…
Helped lead the team to the league championship
that year and a 25-5 record… Also averaged 15
points and five rebounds a game as a junior and
was a 2nd Team all-league choice…
Averaged 10 points a game his sophomore year
after scoring 30 points a game on the freshman
team…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he scored 30
points and added 14 rebounds in a game against
Downey High and winning the defensive awards… Is
working on a minor in philosophy and would like
to transfer to Boise State University, Cal State
Northridge, University of Washington or San Jose
State University… Aspires to be either a
broadcaster or a journalist… Father was on the
basketball and track teams at Boise State and
his brother Darrion (20) is currently on the
football team at the University of Washington…
Likes to lift weights in his spare time…
Nicknamed “Danny”… Is the son of Danrich Jones,
Jr… Born in Lynwood, CA on March 22, 1984….. |
