Was a two-time All-Suburban League selection and
was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player twice…
Averaged 10 points and 15 rebounds as a senior
after accounting for 24 points and 11 rebounds a
game his junior season… Helped the team win the
state championship, as well as the CIF
championship and a pair of league titles… Scored
17 points and posted seven rebounds a game his
sophomore season… While on the freshman team, he
received the Best Attitude Award and averaged 15
points and seven rebounds a game…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he scored 41
points, with 15 rebounds and nine assists
against Mayfair High… Is working on a minor in
business and would like to transfer to either
Cal State Long Beach or Michigan State
University… Aspires to be a civil engineer…
Comes from a family where everyone played
sports… Likes to play basketball in his spare
time… Nicknamed “Rookie” and “Ant”… Is the son
of Niyoni Owens… Born on January 21, 1991….. |
