Cerritos College sophomore cross country
runner Daniel Clifford-Sorenson (Lakewood HS)
concluded his Falcon career on Saturday in Fresno at the
State Championships. He completed the 4-mile course at
Woodward Park in 73rd place out of 200
runners with a time of 21.59. Clifford-Sorenson was the
only Falcon runner to advance to the state championship,
which was his second appearance in a row.
There was a
contingent of 11 runners to cross the finish line in a
five-second span, and Clifford-Sorenson was right in the
middle of that pack. He was also the 15th
runner from the South Coast Conference to complete the
race. As a freshman, Clifford-Sorenson finished in
fourth place at the state championships with a time of
20.31. |
