El Rancho HS: Helped the team win four straight Del Rio League championships… Team advanced to the CIF Finals three years in a row after finishing second his freshman year… Turned in a fifth place finish in the state championships as a freshman… Posted a personal best time of 17:03 over the three-mile course as a senior… Also spent two years on the track and field team and posted personal best times in the 800 meters (2:14) and mile (5:02) his senior season…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he ran in the league finals in the 800 meters his junior year… Would like to transfer to UC Irvine… Both of his parents ran cross country and track in high school… Likes to run, read and hang out with friends in his spare time… Nicknamed “El Gringo”… Has three siblings – Paul (23), Scott (21) and Tess (19)… Is the son of David and Evelyn de la O… Born in Pico Rivera, CA on June 6, 1991…..
