Spent four years on the soccer team in
high school… As a senior, he was named the region’s Most
Valuable Player, while also earning 1st Team
All-League and 1st Team All-Sunrise
Conference honors… Voted his team’s Most Valuable Player
and Captain that season… Was an All-Conference and
All-League player his junior year and was voted his
team’s Captain… As a sophomore, he was named the area’s
Gatorade Player of the Year and helped lead his team to
the state championship as a freshman… Selected their
Rookie of the Year that season… Most memorable moment
was in his senior year when he scored on a free kick to
give his team a win in the playoffs and advanced to the
state championship game… Father played professional
soccer in Mexico… Nicknamed “Ivanator”… Has one sister –
Mariel… Is the son of Jose and Estela Perez….. |
