Cerritos (2004):
Played for PDP in the Premier League… Voted the
South Coast Conference Player of the Year and 1st
Team All-State as a freshman… Led the team to
the state championship game with a team-high 16
goals and also added six assists… Has breakaway
speed and the ability to maneuver through
defenses with amazing skill… Scored team’s first
goal in stunning 2-1 upset of Santa Rosa College
in the state semi-final game… Also scored a goal
against Pasadena City College in game that sent
the Falcons to the state championships… Helped
the team with their second goal in the game, as
he was pulled down in the penalty box, which
resulted in a penalty kick…..
Lynwood HS:
Spent four years on the soccer team in high
school… Scored 19 goals with 15 assists as a
senior after accounting for 24 goals and 30
helpers as a junior… Helped lead them to the CIF
Championship his sophomore season and was named
All-CIF… Earned All-San Gabriel Valley League
honors three years in a row… Was named his
team’s Most Valuable Player and an all-league
selection as a junior… Selected All-CIF as a
sophomore after scoring 16 goals with 23
assists… Helped his team win two league titles…
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he scored three
goals in a game against Paramount High… Would
like to transfer to UC San Diego and aspires to
be an American club coach… Father played soccer
in Mexico City… Enjoys playing indoor soccer in
his spare time… Nicknamed “Chavo”… Has three
siblings – Uriel (25), Esteban (18) and Daniela
(12)… Is the son of Francisco and Rocio
Gonzalez… Born in Mexico City, Mexico on March
