Santa Fe HS: Played for both LAFC and SASC in the Premiere Leagues… As a senior, he was named 1^st Team All-Del Rio League, as well as 2^nd Team All-Area… Voted his team’s Most Valuable Player and Team Captain… Earned 2^nd Team all-league recognition his junior season… Led the junior varsity team to the league title as a freshman… Also spent a season on the cross country team….

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he scored the game-winning goal against the first place team in the league and earning the team’s MVP award… Is also working on a minor in civil engineering and would like to transfer to any Division I or Division II school… Is studying to be either an architect or a civil engineer… Likes to play soccer in his spare time… Nickname “Jona” and “JR”… Has two siblings – Jamelette (24) and Tiffany (15)… Is the son of Humberto Rivas and Edith Chacon… Born in Artesia, CA on October 6, 1989…..
