Was a red-shirt…..
Cerritos (2006):
Was a member of the state championship team…
Named 2nd Team All-South Coast
Conference… Saw action in 24 games and did not
score a point… Played big in important games and
helped the defense record 15 shutouts on the
season… That total included a five-game shutout
streak, as well as the season-ending four-game
shutout streak…..
Birmingham HS:
Played for the Samba Premiere Club… Helped lead
his team to the CIF Championship as a senior
after they won the West Valley League title…
Team posted an 18-2-1 record his senior season…
Spent four years on the soccer team… They won
the league title his junior season, while he was
voted his team’s Most Improved Player and the
team won the league title as a sophomore… Was
promoted to the varsity team his freshman year
for the playoffs after leading the junior
varsity team to the league title and being named
their Most Valuable Player…..
Personal:
Most memorable moments were when the Falcons won
the state championship his freshman year;
beating Mt. San Antonio on the road; winning the
CIF championship in high school and scoring the
lone goal for Samba to win the state
championship… is working on a minor in
psychology and would like to transfer to Cal
State Northridge, Cal State Fullerton or Cal
State Dominguez Hills… Is studying to be a
social worker… His father played semi-pro soccer
in Guatemala, while his cousin, Javier Davil is
a professional soccer player in Guatemala… Likes
to rap in his spare time… Nicknamed “Davi”… Has
two brothers – Jose (22) and Rodney (14)… Is the
son of Juan Luis and Irma Davila… Born in East
Los Angeles, CA on October 5, 1987….. |
