Cerritos (2008):
Was named the State Championship’s Most Valuable
Player after scoring all three of the team’s
goals in the tournament… Also selected NSCAA
Division III 2nd Team All-American,
as well as the South Coast Conference Offensive
Player of the Year… Led the team with 24 goals
and 17 assists for 65 points… It was his
overtime goal against Santa Rosa College that
sent the team to the state championship game,
while he accounted for both goals in the game…
Scored the team’s lone goal in a 1-0 win over
Riverside College in the Second Round of the
Regional Playoffs… Helped the team to a
thrilling 5-4 comeback win against Mt. San
Antonio with a natural hat trick… Added a goal
an assist in consecutive wins over El Camino
College, Los Angeles Harbor College and ECC
Compton Center…..
Long Beach Millikan HS:
Played for FC Barcelona U-19 club in the
Premiere League, as well as for FC Cypress U-16
and U-17 in the Premiere League… Helped his FC
Barcelona team to the League Cup Championship…
Named his high school team’s Offensive Player of
the Year as a senior and junior, while he was a
three-time 1st Team All-CIF and 1st
Team All-Moore League selection… His team
reached the CIF semi-finals as a senior, while
they advanced to the quarterfinals his junior
and sophomore years… Led his team to three
league championships… Voted their Rookie of the
Year as a sophomore, while he was the freshman
team’s Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player
of the Year…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he scored three
goals to defeat Mt. San Antonio College, as well
as beating them in the state championship and
being named the tournament’s MVP… Also credits
being named to the All-American team… Would like
to transfer to any Division I school and aspires
to be a police officer… Likes to play video
games in his spare time… Nicknamed “Louie” and
“Holy Foot”… Has two siblings – Sergio (24) and
Brenda (13)… Is the son of Toribio and Carmen
Gonzalez… Born in Long Beach, CA on September
