Foshay Learning Center HS: Played for FC Barcelona in the Premiere League… Helped his high school team to two straight undefeated Crosstown League championships… Team advance to the CIF Championship game for the first time in their history… Posted eight goals and 12 assists as a senior after accounting for six goals and 10 assists his junior year when the team went 20-1-0… Named his team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and junior and their Most Valuable Defender as a sophomore and freshman…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he scored the only goal in the last minute of the game to move on to the CIF semi-finals… Would like to transfer to Loyola Marymount University, Cal State Dominguez or Cal State Northridge… His brother Armando (26) played soccer at Loyola Marymount and was drafted by the LA Galaxy… Likes to play soccer in his spare time… Also has a sister – Lissette (30)… Is the son of Armando and Blanca Melendez… Born in Los Angeles, CA on December 3, 1989…..
