Will serve as a red-shirt this season…..
Cerritos (2008):
Was used primarily as a back-up goalkeeper…
Played in nine games and posted a 7-2 record
with an 0.85 goals against average… Surrendered
six goals and made 34 saves, while he accounted
for four shutouts… Last action of the season was
in the team’s 5-4 comeback win over Mt. San
Antonio College where he made three saves in the
crucial second half… Posted a shutout against
East Los Angeles College and made four saves,
while he made a season-high seven saves in one
half in a loss against Pasadena City College…
Shut out El Camino College and also won a 2-1
decision against ECC Compton Center… Also made
seven saves in a 2-1 win over Mt. San Antonio
College in the finals of a tournament…..
Colegio-Metropolitano:
Was a member of the Guatemalan Youth National
Team… Played high school soccer in his native
country of Guatemala… Led the Camp Elite in the
lowest goals against average all four years, as
the team won the championship each season…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was leading the league in
goals against each year and playing for the U-20
Guatemalan National Team in 2006… Would like to
transfer to any Division I program and aspires
to work in international business… Likes to play
soccer in his spare time… Has two siblings –
Marie (29) and Marcela (20)… Is the son of Pedro
Velasquez and Gabriela MacDonald… Born in
Guatemala on March 6, 1989….. |
