In Two Events At State Finals

competed in three events
at the state championships this past weekend and turned
in two personal best times. In the 100-yard freestyle,
Tse posted a time of 47.28, which put him in 11th place
overall, while he came in 13th place in the 100-yard
backstroke. His time of 54.53 in the event was also shy
of the school record of 53.19, set by
Ryan Kelly
in 1999.
For his efforts, Tse earned All-American honors by
placing in the top 16 in those two events. He also swam
in the 200-yard individual medley, but did not advance

Championship In Three Events
Cerritos College men’s sophomore swimmer
Paul Tse (Kennedy
HS) will serve as the team’s lone representative in
the State Championships this weekend at Pasadena City
College after his performance at the South Coast
Conference Championships this past weekend. The Falcons,
which placed fifth in the team scoring, will see Tse
compete in the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard
freestyle and 100-yard backstroke. Long Beach City won
the team championships, while Mt. San Antonio, Chaffey
and El Camino also finished ahead of Cerritos...[more]
04.19.06 - Sophomore Paul Tse Places
In Top 10 In Seven Races
Sophomore
Paul Tse
(Kennedy HS) finished in the top 10 in four events in
individual races and also swam the leg of four relay
races to help lead the Cerritos College men’s swimming
team to a seventh place finish at the Pasadena
Invitational last Thursday and Friday. The Falcons
amassed 176 team points and had three other South Coast
Conference teams finish ahead of them in the standings.
Next up for the team will be the conference

04.01.06 - Falcons Split Two
Conference Meets
The Cerritos College men’s swimming team
split their two South Coast Conference matches in a
three-way meet at the Falcon Pool on Friday. They posted
an 85-10 win over Rio Hondo College, while they fell to
Mt. San Antonio College, 89-33. With the split, the
Falcons are now 4-2 on the season and close out their
conference meets this Friday when they travel to Chaffey
College for a 3:00 p.m. meet...[more]

Conference Meet
The Cerritos College men’s swimming team
improved their South Coast Conference record to 3-1
after they defeated both El Camino College (78-49) and
Pasadena City College (65-62) on Friday. The Falcons
will now host Mt. San Antonio College and Rio Hondo

03.20.06 - Team Fares Well At Cuesta
Invitational
The Cerritos College men’s swimming team
fared well at the Cuesta Invitational, which is one of
the biggest meets of the season. The Falcons had three
of their relay teams crack the top 20, while several
individual swimmers did very well. The Falcons now
resume South Coast Conference action on Friday, as they
travel to Pasadena City College to face the Lancers and

03.10.06 - Falcons Split Two In
Conference Meet
Competing with a depleted staff due to
illness, the Cerritos College men’s swimming team split
their two South Coast Conference meets on Friday. The
Falcons defeated Los Angeles Trade-Tech College, 67-60,
but dropped a 94-33 decision to host Long Beach City
College to see their conference record move to 1-1. The
team will now travel north to compete in the Cuesta

03.06.06 - Falcons Compete In First
Scoring Meet Of Season
The Cerritos College men’s swimming team
competed in their first scoring meet of the season and
placed 18th at the Mt. San Antonio
Invitational on Saturday after recording 53 team points.
The Falcons had a couple of solid performances and will
now take part in their first South Coast Conference meet
of the season when they travel to Long Beach City
College on Friday for a 3:00 p.m. match against the
