| Competed in the
200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, 1650-yard
freestyle and swam a leg of the 800-yard freestyle
relay team… Spent two seasons on the Falcon water
polo team that advanced to the state championship
both seasons and won the conference title his
freshman year… Named 2nd Team All-South
Coast Conference as a sophomore after scoring 51
goals with 19 assists and 36 steals… Had 18 goals,
with six assists and 33 steals in his freshman
season… While in high school, he was the Orange
League’s Most Valuable Player in swimming as a
senior and was an All-League choice…Was also named
the league’s Most Valuable Player in water polo his
senior season… Selected All-League as a junior and
senior… Spent three years on the water polo and
swimming teams… Helped the water polo team to the
league title… His uncle, Leonard Armijo, was a
fullback on Cerritos College’s only undefeated
football team and is currently the department’s
equipment manager… Likes to surf in his spare time…
Has two siblings – Lauri (30) and Stephanie (27)… Is
the son of Chris and Debbie Armijo… Born in Long
Beach, CA on December 30, 1985….. |
