| Was a member of the
Falcon water polo team that advanced to the state
championships this past season… Appeared in 26 games
and scored 13 goals, with seven assists ant six
steals… Placed fifth in the CIF championships in the
butterfly with a time of 54.9 as a senior after
coming in the top eight as a junior… Was a
three-time 1st Team All-Del Rio League
selection in water polo in high school… Earned 1st
Team All-CIF honors as a senior… Helped his team win
the league championship his junior year… Was coached
by former Falcon Joel Francisco… Most memorable
moment was when his team posted a 13-12 win over
Whittier High for the league title in front of a
huge home crowd… Would like to transfer to either
Arizona State or San Diego State and study to be a
water polo coach… Both brothers played water polo
and swam at El Rancho High… Likes to play the guitar
and write music in his spare time… Nicknamed “Andy”…
Has three siblings – Lucy (32), Manuel (28) and
Mario (24)… Is the son of Manuel and Ana Ibarra…
