Competed in the 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly and swam a leg of the 200-yard medley relay… Spent two seasons on the Falcon water polo team that won a conference title and advanced to the state championships both years… Was a member of the Falcon water polo team that won the conference title and advanced to the state championships… As a sophomore, he appeared in 10 games and scored nine goals, with three assists and six steals… In his freshman season, he appeared in 14 games and scored four goals, with two assists and one steal… Spent three years on the water polo and swimming teams in high school… While in high school, he earned the Coaches Award as a senior, while he picked up the junior varsity swim team’s Most Improved Player as a sophomore after earning their Most Inspirational Player award as a freshman… Was a CIF qualifier as a senior in the 200-yard medley relay, while placing third as a member of the 400-yard relay tea as a junior… On the water polo team, he scored 30 goals his senior year and was voted his team’s Coaches Award… Was their Most Improved Player as a junior after scoring 15 goals… Helped the team to the San Gabriel Valley League title his junior season… Most memorable moment was when he scored a hat trick for the Falcon water polo team against Los Angeles Trade-Tech College as a freshman and when his relay team placed 10th in the CIF championships… Is working on a minor in nutrition and aspires to transfer to either Long Beach State or UC Santa Barbara… Would like to be a nutritionist or police officer… Speaks fluent Spanish… Craziest ambition is to compete in the Ironman Triathlon… Father was a bullfighter in Jalisco, Mexico in the 1970’s… Likes to lift weights in his spare time… Has one sibling – Faith (23)… Is the son of Rafael Mirales and Amber Haase… Born in Bellflower, CA on December 25, 1984…..
