| Placed fifth in the
conference championships in the 200-yard
breaststroke in a time of 2:23.14 and sixth in the
100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.66… Also
swam the 500-yard freestyle… Was a member of the
Falcon water polo team two seasons ago that won the
conference title and advanced to the state
championships… Was a back-up goalie and recorded 28
saves in 12 games… Also scored a goal and assisted
on another… Competed on both the water polo and
swimming teams in high school… In swimming, he
helped guide his team to the San Gabriel Valley
League finals… Also advanced to the CIF
Championships in the 4x50 yard freestyle relay… Most
memorable moment was when he turned in his personal
best time in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1L06.87 in
the league finals… His brother, Richard, wrestled in
high school… Likes to listen to music in his spare
time… Nicknamed “Cory Platinum”… Is the son of
Vanessa Pettis… Born in Charleston, SC on March 4,
1986….. |
