Was the starting goalkeeper on the
Falcon water polo team this past season… In 29
games, he recorded 221 saves… Spent two years on the
swimming team in high school and helped lead them to
the league title his senior year and a second place
finish as a senior… Placed third in the Empire
League Championships in the 500-yard freestyle
(5:18) and was 10th in the 100-yard
breaststroke (1:11)… As a senior, he came in third
place at the Savanna Invitationals… Finished in
fourth place in the league championships his junior
year in the 500-yard freestyle… Named the Empire
League Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and
senior on the water polo team… Also a two-time 1st
Team All-League selection and led his team to the
league championship as a senior, as the team went
undefeated… Established a new school record for most
goalie saves in a season with 210… Most memorable
moment was his third place finish and time in the
league finals of the 500-yard freestyle race…
Aspires to be a Navy SEAL… Father played football in
high school and his brother Rickey (16) is on the
wrestling team at Pacifica High, while both of his
sisters play water polo… Has two sisters – Becky
(15) and Sarah (8)… Nicknamed “Billy”… Is the son of
Bill and Sheila Smith… Born in Orange, CA on October
8, 1988….. |
