Cerritos Swimming (2006): Swam a leg on four relay teams that competed at the state championships, which included the 800-yard freestyle (9^th place), 400-yard medley (12^th), 400-yard freestyle (13^th)… The team’s time of 7:15.87 at the state championships in the 400-yard freestyle relay set a new school record… Also placed 10^th at the state championships in the 200-yard butterfly after coming in second place at the South Coast Conference Championships… Finished sixth in the conference championships in the 200-yard IM….. 

Liberty Christian HS: Attended Long Beach State out of high school, but did not swim for them… Spent four years on the swimming team in high school… As a junior, he placed second in the CIF Division IV Championships after a fourth place finish as a freshman…..

Personal: Aspires to be a firefighter… Likes to go surfing in his spare time… Has one brother – Brendan (14)… Is the son of Brooks and Peggy Friend…..
