Cerritos Swimming (2007):
Named the team’s Most Valuable Swimmer… Had the
best freshman season of any swimmer in school
history… Won the state championship in the
200-yard butterfly with a school record time of
1:51.48… Also placed second in the 100-yard
backstroke and third in the 100-yard butterfly…
In addition, he swam a leg of the 400-yard
freestyle, 400-yard medley and 800-yard
freestyle relay teams at the state
championships… Set new school records in the
100-yard backstroke (51.57), 200-yard backstroke
(1:52.82), 100-yard butterfly (50.36), as well
as a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team
(7:15.87)… Helped the Falcons win the conference
championship after coming in first place in the
100-yard and 200-yard backstroke, while placing
second in the 200-yard butterfly…..
Downey HS:
Won the CIF Championship in the 100-yard
backstroke as a junior and senior… Also came in
third place his senior year in the 100-yard
butterfly… Placed third in the CIF Championships
in the 100-yard backstroke as a sophomore after
placing fifth his freshman year… Spent two
seasons on the water polo team…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he dove in the
pool for a race and his Speedos came off… Would
like to transfer to the University of Hawaii…
Nicknamed “Greek God”… Has two siblings – Yannie
and Dimitri… Born in Compton, CA on July 12,
1987….. |
