Long Beach Wilson HS: Spent four years on the swimming team and led them to a Moore League title… Was also a member of the water polo team his freshman and sophomore years… Helped lead them to the Moore League championship… Also ran cross country for one season…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he came in fourth place at the Moore League swimming championships in the 100-yard breaststroke… Would like to transfer to San Diego State University… Parents both competed in sports in high school, as did his sister Vanessa (23), who was on the track and cross country teams at Long Beach Wilson High… Spent a year and a half living in Australia and Malaysia… Likes to go lobster diving in his spare time… Is the son of Larry and Eli Cruz… Born in Long Beach, CA on May 24, 1987…..
