Cerritos Swimming (2008): Named All-American in the 200-yard breaststroke after turning in the 11th fastest time in the country at 2:09.50, while he placed sixth in the state championship in the event… Also earned All-America honors in the 400-yard freestyle by swimming of the legs that registered the 16th fastest time in the country at 3:14.95… Also qualified for the state championships in the 100-yard breaststroke… Placed third in the 200-yard IM and fourth in the 100-breaststrtoke in the South Coast Conference championships… Also competed in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard medley relay…..

Cerritos Water Polo (2008): Named 2nd Team All-South Coast Conference… Earned the team’s Coaches Award… Played in 25 games and scored 39 goals, with 33 assists and 44 steals… His steals were the 12th-most in a season, while he ranks 11th in both career goals (65) and career assists (48)….. Scored a season-high five goals against Chaffey College and also scored four against Grossmont College… Had three goals, five assists and two steals against Citrus College and two goals, three assists and six steals against El Camino College… Matched his season-high five steals against Grossmont…..

Cerritos Water Polo (2007): Finished second on the team with 24 goals, while also adding 15 assists and 20 steals… Best game of the season came against Merced College when he scored twice and added two assists and three steals… Scored a season-high three goals against both Mt. San Antonio and Chaffey College… His goal in overtime against Chaffey was the game-winner… Tied his season-high of three steals against American River College…..

Montebello HS: Helped the water polo team to the CIF Championship as a senior… Was coached by current Falcon women’s water polo and swimming coach Sergio Macias…..

Personal: Would like to transfer to UC Santa Cruz and aspires to have a career in either real estate or stock and share investments… Likes to go fishing in his spare time… Has two sisters – Isabel (33) and Josie (25)… Is the son of Joe and Marcy Espinoza… Born in Los Angeles, CA on November 20, 1986…..
