Now beginning his
second season as the Cerritos College men’s
tennis program, Alvin Kim led the Falcons to
their first South Coast Conference
championship in over 20 years. He led the
team to an undefeated conference season and
they advanced to the Southern California
Regional Playoffs, where they were defeated
in the first round. Kim comes to the program
with 10 years of high school coaching
experience and has experienced success
throughout his coaching career. Prior to
joining the Falcon program, Kim spent seven
years at Cerritos High School and three
seasons at La Mirada High School. While at
Cerritos High, Kim led his teams to the
Suburban League championship each year and
posted a 90-5 record. In his three seasons
with La Mirada High, he guided his teams to
a 54-6 record.
Kim attended
Sunny Hills High School, where he was an
All-League tennis player. He then attended
and played tennis at both Cypress College
and Vanguard University. He earned his
Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from
Vanguard University. |
