Conference
win, as
they
posted a
7-0 win
over El
Camino
on
Tuesday
afternoon.
With a
win at
Long
Beach
City
College
on
Thursday
at 2:00
p.m.,
the
Falcons,
ranked
#2 in
Southern
California, (16-1,
overall,
8-0 SCC) will
secure
their
fourth straight
undefeated
SCC
season.
At the
top of
the
singles
ladder,
freshman
Nik Bote
(Mayfair
HS)
was
extended
to a
third
set, but
it was
after
the
outcome
had been
decided.
His 5-7,
7-5
(10-3)
win
followed
straight
set wins
by the
other
five
singles
players.
At #2,
freshman
Carlos
Gomez
(Kennedy
HS)
posted a
6-4,
6-1,
while
freshman
Doug
Edwards
(Western
HS)
was
pushed
by
Tsuyoshi
Nagaoko
before
coming
away
with a
6-4, 7-5
win.
Rounding
out the
singles
play
were
wins by

The
Falcons

The
team's
lone
setback
came in

position,
with
Gomez
and Sim
dropping
