Cerritos (2008):
Had a 15-4 singles record and saw action in all
but the #1 position… Was 3-0 at #2, 2-0 at #3
and 1-0 in both the #4 and #6 positions… He went
7-3 in the #5 spot and lost in the second round
of the South Coast Conference Singles
Tournament… Teamed with Carlos Gomez to post a
15-6 doubles record… They were seeded #4 in the
conference tournament and were defeated by
teammates Doug Edwards and Jason Wall in the
semi-finals… Won their first two doubles matches
at the Ojai Tournament, including a win over the
#9-seeded team…..
Cerritos HS:
Attended Sonoma State out of high school, but
didn’t compete in sports… Spent four years on
the tennis team… Helped the team advance to the
CIF Championships… Voted the team’s Most
Valuable Player as a junior and senior… Named
their Most Improved Singles Player as a
sophomore after being named their Best Newcomer
as a freshman…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when the team won the
Suburban League championship and advanced to the
CIF Finals… Likes to play poker in his spare
time… Has two sisters – Carol (31) and Son (30)…
Is the son of Chris and Connie Sim… Born in Los
Angeles, CA on May 18. 1989….. |
