(2011): Served as a
red-shirt…..
Cerritos College Tennis
(2010): Went 4-12 in
singles action, which spanned three different
positions in the lineup… Was 1-8 in the #2 spot,
1-2 in the #3 position and 1-1 at #4… Also split
his two matches at the South Coast Conference
singles tournament… Posted a 6-6 record in
doubles play, which included a 5-4 record with
Derek Siddiqui, as the duo advanced to the
quarterfinals of the South Coast Conference
Tournament… Was also 1-1 with Tomas
Pierson-Perez and 0-1 with Matt Fitzgerald…..
Gahr HS:
Advanced to the semi-finals of the San Gabriel
Valley League singles competition as a senior,
while the team reached the 2nd Round
of the CIF Playoffs… Spent his junior year at
Lakewood High and won the junior varsity singles
league championship… Also played football for
three seasons and posted 30 tackles and seven
interceptions as a junior, while he recorded 20
stops and five interceptions as a sophomore…..
Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he was invited to
play in a Master’s tournament and advanced to
the finals at the Home Depot Center… Is working
on a minor in math… Would like to transfer to UC
Santa Barbara and aspires to be a math teacher…
Is the cousin of Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Manny
Parra… Likes to play ping-pong in his spare
time… Has three siblings – John (20), Andrew
(13) and Josh (7)… Nicknamed “Cap”… Is the son
of Glen and Evangelina Peterson… Born in
Bellflower, CA on November 25, 1989….. |
