05.03.08 - Cerritos qualifies seven for SoCal Finals
The Cerritos College men's track and field team has qualified seven individuals for the Southern California Championships, which will take place next Saturday at Bakersfield College. 04.27.08 - Cerritos prepares for SoCal Prelims
Below is a list of Cerritos College men's track and field athletes who have qualified for the Southern California Preliminaries, which will be held at Bakersfield College next Saturday. As a team, the Falcons have 25 entries with seven alternates. Leading the team is sophomore Cody  Lewis (Lakewood HS) and freshman Kristen Joseph (Canyon Springs, NV HS), are who qualified in three events. Freshman hurdler Bruce McCall (Norwalk HS), distance runner Daniel Clifford-Sorenson (Lakewood HS), freshman thrower Louis Rodriguez (La Puente HS), freshman Nicholas Armstrong (Long Beach Poly HS) and freshman Dajuan Henry (Valley Christian HS) have all qualified in two events...[more]

04.25.08 - Falcons place third in conference finals
The Cerritos College men's track and field team finished in third place at the South Coast Conference Championships on Friday, after they compiled 112 team points. Mt. San Antonio College won the championship with 214 team points, with El Camino College placing second with 135 team points...[more]

04.22.08 - Cerritos advances into SCC Finals
At the South Coast Conference Preliminaries, which where held at Cerritos College on Tuesday, the Falcon men's track and field team had two individual winners, while they have advanced six individuals to the finals, which will also be held at Cerritos on Friday, starting at 12:00 p.m.  The top nine finishers in events that were not finals, advance to the championships. Six events were finals, which accumulate points toward the team championship, and the Falcons picked up 53 on the day, which puts them in second place. 04.12.08 - Falcons compete at Mt. SAC Relays
The Cerritos College men's track and field team had several fine performances at the prestigious Mt. San Antonio Relays over the weekend. The team, which will serve as the host of the Long Beach Invitational this Saturday at 10:00 a.m., is preparing for the South Coast Conference Preliminaries, which will be held at Falcon Stadium the following weekend. 04.04.08 - Cerritos places second in last big conference meet
The Cerritos College men's track and field team finished in second place out of six teams on Friday afternoon at Long Beach City College in a South Coast Conference meet. The Falcons compiled 137.5 team points and were only beat out by El Camino College, who finished with 175.5 points. Trailing both teams were Long Beach City (116 team points), Los Angeles Southwest College (50), Pasadena City College (42) and Los Angeles Trade-Tech College (1). 03.28.08 - Falcons split five-way conference meet
The Cerritos College men's track and field team split their results against four other South Coast Conference teams in a five-way meet, which was held at Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday. The Falcons, who defeated Pasadena City College (126-54.66) and Los Angeles Southwest College (126-47), were defeated by El Camino College (196.83-126) and the host Mounties (184.5-126). 03.26.08 - Cody Lewis places third in decathlon
Cerritos College sophomore decathlete Cody Lewis (Lakewood HS) posted the fifth-most points in school history on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Southern California Decathlon Championships at Moorpark College and came in third place. Lewis, who compiled 6087 points, now advances to the state championships, which will be held at Cerritos College on May 16-17. He was only beat out by Nate Koch (6414 points) of Mt. With some of the best athletes in the state visiting Falcon Stadium, the Cerritos College men's track and field team did their best to put on a good show. The Falcons, who will be hosting the state championships this season, did not run their best athletes in the community college event and showcased them in the open events. The team will now see their decathletes compete at Moorpark College on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the entire team will travel to Mt. San Antonio College on Friday to face the Mounties, El Camino College and Pasadena City College...[more]

03.15.08 - Cerritos takes fourth place at Bakersfield Relays
Behind several strong individual performances and and overall team effort, the Cerritos College men's track and field team took fourth place at the Bakersfield Relays over the weekend. The Falcons, who compiled 62.5 team points, trailed only Fresno City College (128 team points), Mt. San Antonio College (128) and El Camino College (112), with two of the teams coming from the South Coast Conference. The Cerritos College men’s track team showed their depth in all events in their three-way non-conference meet on Thursday. The Falcons posted wins over Orange Coast College (92-57) and Saddleback College (92-53) to put their record at 2-0 on the year. 02.04.08 - Falcons go up against four-year schools at invite
Competing against athletes from many four-year universities, the Cerritos College men’s track and field team compiled 20 team points and finished in 10th place with an abbreviated contingent. The Falcons sent only a few of their athletes to the Mountain T’s Invitational over the weekend, which was held at Northern Arizona University.
