Was a member of the Falcon cross country team this
past season… Placed 67th in the state
championship to help the team come in 12th
overall… Was a 118th place finisher in
the Southern California Championships, while he came
in 38th place in the South Coast
Conference Champions, while the team came in third
place… Competed in the 800 meters, 1600 meters and
3200 meters on the track team in high school… Helped
lead his team to three straight San Gabriel Valley
League championships… Was a two-time All-League
selection… Voted his team’s Most Dependable Runner
as a junior… Spent three years on both the track and
field and cross country teams… Most memorable moment
was when he ran a 4:31.0 in the mile at the league
finals and missed qualifying for CIF by one tenth of
a second… Would like to transfer to either UCLA or
Long Beach State and study to be a high school
teacher… Has five siblings – Arnold (36), Oswaldo
(34), Griselda (31), Eddie (28) and Jeannette (15)…
Is the son of Rosendo and Maria Cruz… Born in
Huntington Park, CA on April 10, 1987….. |
