Ran the 1500 (4:16.91), 5000
(16:04.52) and 10,000 (33:31.05) last season… Came
in 19th place in the 5000 meters and 12th
place in the 10,000 meters at the Southern
California Championships… Placed third in the South
Coast Conference Championships in the 5000-meters…
Spent two seasons on the Falcon cross country team
and helped lead them to a third place conference
finals and 12th place finish in the state
championships… Finished in 16th place at
the state championships, while he came in 12th
in the Southern California Championships and eighth
in the conference championships… As a freshman, he
was named the team’s most valuable runner… Helped
lead the team to an 11th place finish in
the state championships after placing 33rd
overall… Also named 1st Team All-South
Coast Conference with his 10th place
showing in the championships… Was an All-Moore
League selection in high school and Team Captain in
track for four seasons… Posted personal best times
in the 800 (2:06), 1600 (4:33), 3200 (9:58) and
three-mile (15:21) in his senior year… As a senior
in cross country, he was named to the
Press Telegram
Dream Team and also earned 1st Team
All-League honors as a sophomore, junior and senior…
Graduated with honors… Voted his team’s Most
Valuable Player for four seasons… Qualified for the
CIF Regionals three straight years… Most memorable
moment was when he placed second in the Moore League
Championships with his personal best time… Would
like to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona… Likes to
collect baseball, coins and model cars in his spare
time… Nicknamed “Food”… Is the son of David and Rose
Rojas… Born in Redondo Beach, CA on November 25,
1986….. |
