Was a three-sport athlete in high school…
Specialized in the 100 meters (10.9), 200 meters
(21.87), 400 meters (48.9) and 800 meters (1:58.0)…
As a senior, he was ranked sixth in the state in the
400 meters and finished in second in the Moore
League championships before qualifying for the state
championships… Was his team’s Most Valuable Player
and earned 2nd team All-CIF and
All-League honors… As a junior, he also qualified
for the state championships while earning All-League
and 3rd Team All-CIF recognition… Also
ran a leg of the 400 and 1600-meter relay teams…
Spent time on the football and basketball teams…
Averaged 12 points and four rebounds as a senior on
the basketball team, while he recorded 21 tackles
with two interceptions his junior year on the
football team… Most memorable moment was when he
became the first runner in his school’s history to
run a 1:58 in the 800 meters and when he scored 21
points in a basketball game against Long Beach
Wilson High… Is working on a minor in welding and
would like to transfer to Mississippi State
University, USC or Texas State… Is the second cousin
of NFL player Kordell Stewart… Nicknamed “K-Fresh”…
Is the son of Jessie Jenkins… Born on May 19,
1987….. |
