05.19.07 - Anthony Harbor places third in two events at state
Sophomore hurdler Anthony Harbor (Bellflower HS) concluded his Cerritos College track and field career by placing third in the state championships in both the 110-meter high hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday at San Mateo College. Harbor was one of three Falcon representatives at the state championships, as Cerritos finished with 17 team points and came in 16th place. South Coast Conference foe Pasadena City College won the state title with 75 teams points, while Moorpark College (70 points) came in a close second...[more]
 

05.12.07 - Track sends three to state championships
The Cerritos College men's track and field team will be represented by three athletes who will compete in six events at the state championships this weekend, which will be held at San Mateo College. The Falcons, who came in eighth place at the Southern California Championships with 36 team points, will send freshman distance runner Daniel Clifford-Sorenson (Lakewood HS), sophomore hurdler Anthony Harbor (Bellflower HS) and sophomore thrower Benjamin Smith (Cypress HS) on to the state championships after they were able to finish in the top four in lane events and top six in the other events this past weekend at UC San Diego...[more]

05.05.07 - Team moves athletes on to SoCal Finals
The Cerritos College men's track and field team advanced five individuals and one of their relay teams to the Southern California Championships, which will be held at UC San Diego next Saturday. Three of the five will compete in two events, with sophomore hurdler Anthony Harbor (Bellflower HS) winning the 400-meter hurdles and placing second in the 110-meter high hurdles. As for freshman distance runner Daniel Clifford-Sorenson (Lakewood HS), who placed fourth in the 10,000 meters, which was a final, as well as coming in second place in the 3000-meter steeplechase. 04.27.07 - Falcons accumulate enough points for second place
The Cerritos College men's track and field team excelled in the field events at the South Coast Conference Championships on Friday afternoon at Falcon Stadium and used those points to secure a second place finish. The team compiled 121.5 team points and trailed only conference champion Mt. San Antonio College, who had 202 team points. 04.21.07 - Team advances 12 to conference finals
t the South Coast Conference Preliminaries, which where held at Cerritos College on Saturday, the Falcon men's track and field team had three individual winners, while they have advanced 12 individuals to the finals, which will also beheld at Cerritos on Friday, starting at 12:00 p.m.  The top 12 finishers in events that were not finals, advance to the championships. 04.13.07 - Falcons win six events at invitational
As one of only two community colleges to compete in the Pacific Coast Invitational, held at The Home Depot Center on Friday, the Cerritos College men's track and field team was still able to maintain a competitive presence in the meet. The Falcons won six of the 10 events held, which included wins in both of the relay races, as well as two athletes winning two events each. 04.07.07 - Cerritos has two winners at Mt. SAC Invitational
Freshman distance runner Daniel Clifford-Sorenson (Lakewood HS) and sophomore hurdler Anthony Harbor (Bellflower HS) each won events for the Cerritos College men's track and field team at the prestigious Mt. San Antonio Relays on Saturday. For Clifford-Sorenson, he won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:35.4, while his time of 15:31.24 was good for fourth place in the 5000 meters. As for Harbor, he beat all opponents in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 53.69, and also placed fifth in the 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 15.11...[more]
 

03.31.07 - Team places second at Fresno Invitational
The Cerritos College men's track and field team recorded three first place finishes and seven second place finishes to help the team come in second place at the Fresno Invitational on Saturday. The Falcons amassed 103 team points and trailed only the host Rams, who won the meet with 149 team points. Aside from Cerritos, only Los Angeles Southwest College brought a team from Southern California to the meet. The team will now take part in the prestigious Mt. 03.24.07 - Second day of California Relays bring more good performances
Running against some of the nation's elite on the second day of the California Relays at Cerritos College, the Falcon men's track and field team showed that they are capable of holding their own when faced with the best. Sophomore hurdler Anthony Harbor (Bellflower HS) posted a strong time of 15.02 to come in second place in the finals of the 110-meter high hurdles, while he was clocked in 56.56 in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles, which was good enough for fourth place...[more]
 

03.23.07 - First day of California Relays goes well for Cerritos
Sophomore sprinter Anthony Harbor (Bellflower HS) came in third place in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 14.85 on Friday at the first day of events at the Cerritos Relays, which are being held at Cerritos College. 03.21.07 - Lone Falcon places eighth in decathlon
Cerritos College freshman decathlete Cody Lewis (Lakewood HS) placed eighth in the Southern California Decathlon Championships on Tuesday and Wednesday at Falcon Stadium, but missed out on advancing to the state championships. He amassed 5399 points and earned one team point for the Falcons in the state championships, which will be held on May 18-19 in San Mateo. 03.17.07 - Great results turned in by Falcons
The Cerritos College men's track and field team made their presence known at the prestigious Bakersfield Relays over the weekend, as the Falcons had athletes place in the top five 17 times, with four individual first place finishes. The Cerritos College men's track and field team took second place at the South Coast Conference All Teams Invitational on Thursday at Falcon Stadium. The team amassed 143.5 team points and trailed only Mt. San Antonio College and their 205.5 team points. Facing a group of four-year competitors at the USC Trojan Relays on Friday, the Cerritos College men's track and field team held their own to show that they will continue to be competitive as the season progresses. 02.16.07 - Falcons open season with one win in four-way meet
The Cerritos College men's track team opened their South Coast Conference season by defeating one opponent in a season-opening four-way meet on Friday. The Falcons posted a win over Long Beach City (139-86), while they dropped a 186-139 score to Mt. San Antonio College and a close 140-139 decision to El Camino College. The team will now compete in the Cerritos Invitational on March 23-24, which will serve as the inaugural meet on the school's new track....[more]
