cross country team this past season… Came in 47th
place at the South Coast Conference
Championships… Was a three-sport athlete in high
school… Competed on the cross country, track and
field and soccer teams… Was the track team’s
Most Valuable Player as a senior, while earning
All-Suburban League honors in soccer as a
junior… Also voted the soccer team’s MVP as a
junior… Most memorable moment was when he made
it to the CIF Championships in cross country…
Would like to transfer to Cal State Dominguez
Hills… Father played baseball in high school…
Likes to play soccer in his spare time… Has six
siblings – Maribel (22), Maritza (21), Maricela
(20), Aideth (18), Gaby (16) and Joel (3)… Is
the son of Constantine and Amalia Ortega… Born
