| Was a member of the Falcon
cross country team for two seasons.… Placed 94th
at the state championships, while he finished in
131st place at the Southern
California Championships… Came in 30th
place at the South Coast Conference
Championships… Had outstanding performances at
some of the most important meets of the year
during his freshman year, including a key
performance at the South Coast Conference
Championships… His contributions were
instrumental in the team’s top 10 finish at the
State Championships... While in high school, he
qualified for the CIF Finals, while earning 1st
Team All-Del Rio League recognition as a senior…
Also voted his team’s Most Valuable Player as a
junior and senior… Also named 1st
Team All-League as a junior… In his sophomore
season, he was a 2nd Team All-League
choice and earned his team’s Rookie of the Year
honors as a freshman… Spent four years on the
cross country and track and field teams… Turned
in a personal best time on the mile (4:45), two
miles (10:33) and three miles (15:57) as a
senior… Most memorable moment was his
performance in a half marathon… Nicknamed
“Chuy”… Has three siblings – Yesenia (23), Eli
(22) and Edgar (16)… His brother Eli was also a
Falcon cross county runner… Is the son of Jesus
Rodriguez and Virginia Gonzalez … Born in Santa
Ana, CA on June 20, 1985….. |
