Daniel Clifford-Sorenson
(Lakewood HS) and sophomore
hurdler
Anthony Harbor (Bellflower
HS) each won events for the
Cerritos College men's track and
field team at the prestigious Mt.
San Antonio Relays on Saturday. For
Clifford-Sorenson, he won the 3000
meter steeplechase with a time of
9:35.4, while his time of 15:31.24
was good for fourth place in the
5000 meters. As for Harbor, he beat
all opponents in the 400-meter
intermediate hurdles with a time of
53.69, and also placed fifth in the
110-meter high hurdles in a time of
15.11.
The Falcons were represented in both
the sprints, relays and field
events, as well, with sophomore
Genoa Dill (Compton
HS) coming in eighth place in
the 100 meters (11.09) and 10th in
the 200 meters in a time of 22.35.
Freshman thrower
Devin Farrow (Valley
Christian HS) was a seventh
place finisher in the shot put with
a throw of 45' 3", while his toss of
130' 7" in the discus was good for
seventh place. The 400-meter relay
team came in fifth place in a time
of 42.59, while the 1600-meter relay
year turned in a time of 3:27.88,
good for ninth place.
The team will
now head to Cal State Los Angeles on
Thursday to compete in the Los
Angeles Open.
