Cerritos Track & Field (2008): Placed 16^th in the Southern California Championships in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a personal best 10:33.42 after coming in eighth place in the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:13.29), 1500 meters (4:27.01), 3,000 meters (9:49.29) and 5,000 meters (17:00.35)…..

Cerritos Cross Country (2008): Came in 106^th place at the State Championships in a time of 22:03 after finishing in 94^th place in the Southern California Championships with a clocking of 21:43, his best time of the year… Helped the team come in third place at the South Coast Conference Championships by coming in 25^th place with a time of 22.22… Posted a time of 22.80 to finish in 75^th place at the Bakersfield Invitational, while his time of 21:56 put him in 58^th place at the orange Coast Classic…..

Cerritos Cross Country (2007): Finished in 149^th place at the Southern California Championships with a time of 24:37, which placed him in 34^th place at the South Coast Conference Championships… Best time of the season was 22:45 at the SoCal Preview Meet, which put him in 100^th place, while his time of 22:49 was good for 34^th place at the Orange Coast Classic…..

Kennedy HS: Was a 1^st Team All-Empire League selection as a senior and was voted the Team Captain… Named the school’s Student of the Month once… Finished seventh in the league championships, while he also placed in the top 10 at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational (16:16) and Dana Hills (16:06) Invitational… Spent two years on the cross country team and three on the track and field team… Was the track team’s captain as a senior… Specialized in the 1600 meters (4:44) and the 3200 meters (10:20)…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he placed 10^th at the Mt. SAC Invitational with a time of 16:15 and his seventh place finish at the league finals when he recorded his personal best time (16:00)… Would like to transfer to either Western Colorado or Chico State and aspires to be either a teacher or coach… His cousins Ozzy ran cross country at California-Berkeley and Ulices currently runs cross country at UC Riverside… Likes to body board and skateboard in his spare time… Nicknamed “P-Nut”… Has two siblings – Hugo (32) and Priscilla (29)… Is the son of Armando and Norma Pina… Born in Long Beach, CA on April 11, 1989…..
