On Friday, the Cerritos College men's track and field team hosted both El Camino College and Saddleback College in a three-team non-conference meet. The team will now travel to Moorpark College on Friday for a 12:00 p.m. non-conference meet.

Freshman Jeramey Cutler (Lakewood HS) did very well on the day, as he placed second in the shot put (47'), third in both the discus (141' 4) and hammer 137' 6"), while he placed fourth in the javelin at 144' 4".

Freshman Vincent Huitt (Downey HS) won the hammer throw with a distance of 147' 7", while freshman teammate Noe Sosa (Downey HS) was right behind at 145' 6".

In the running events, freshman Torion Bailey (Mayfair HS) won the 800 meters in a time of 1:53.07, while sophomore Qualaun Reed (Cabrillo HS) came in third at 1:59.12. Reed also came in third placed in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:08.63, while sophomore Brandon Dickson (Long Beach Millikan HS) saw his time of 50.10 put him in second place.
