Was a red-shirt last season… Was a member
of the Falcon swimming team for two seasons… Served as
the team’s back-up goalie two seasons ago and recorded
18 saves in 12 games… Also scored one goal and assisted
one another while adding one steal… In his sophomore
season on the Falcon swim team, he placed sixth in the
100-yard freestyle at the conference championships in a
time of 1:05.62 after placing third in the 200-yard
breaststroke with a time of 2:18.67 and just missed out
on advancing to the state championships… As a freshman
on the Falcon swimming team, he placed fifth in the
conference championships in the 200-yard breaststroke in
a time of 2:23.14 and sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke
with a time of 1:06.66… Also swam the 500-yard
freestyle…Competed on both the water polo and swimming
teams in high school… In swimming, he helped guide his
team to the San Gabriel Valley League finals and was
their Most Valuable Player as a senior.… Also advanced
to the CIF Championships in the 4x50 yard freestyle
relay… Most memorable moment was when he turned in
personal best times in the 100-yard breaststroke and the
50-yard freestyle at the league preliminaries… His
brother, Richard (23), wrestled at Warren High… Likes to
swim and ride his bike in his spare time… Nicknamed
“Cory Platinum”… Is the son of Vanessa Pettis… Born in
Charleston, SC on March 4, 1986….. |
