Named 2nd Team All-South Coast
Conference… Finished fourth on the team with 37
goals and added 46 steals and 25 assists… Scored
a season-high four goals against Palomar
College, Southwestern College and Merced
College… Recorded a season-high five steals
against Santa Rosa College, while he also
contributed four steals against Los Angeles
Valley College, Merced College and Mt. San
Antonio College… Chipped in with three steals in
four other games… Had a season-high four assists
against Santa Monica College… Was a member of
the Falcon swimming team last season…..
Montebello HS:
Spent four seasons on the water polo team… Team
won the Almont League championship two years in
a row and captured the CIF Championship his
junior season… Squad posted a 28-4 record that
year… Team reached the finals his senior year,
but lost in the championship game… Was a
two-time 1st Team all-league
selection… Named 2nd Team All-CIF
after earning 3rd Team All-CIF
recognition as a junior… Scored 97 goals his
senior year… Was coached by current Falcon
women’s water polo and swimming coach Sergio
Macias…
Personal:
Most memorable moments were when he scored nine
goals, with six assists, five steals and five
kickouts in a league game and when he scored
four goals to beat La Serna High three weeks
before they went on to beat them in the CIF
Championship game… Would like to transfer to
UCLA and aspires to be a youth counselor… His
brother, Rigoberto (24), played water polo at
Santa Monica High… Likes to play his PlayStation
in his spare time… Nicknamed “Jim”… Is the son
of Marta Quintana… Born on October 29, 1988….. |
