After coming in
third place in the South Coast Conference and
advancing to the Southern California Regional
Playoffs, the Cerritos College men's water polo team
had two players earn All-American honors, while an
additional player was named All-Southern California.
The Falcons, who were eliminated in the playoffs by
cross-town rival Long Beach City College, finished
the season with a 23-8 record.
Sophomore
Ryan
Tamula (Cerritos HS) and
freshman
Cory
Baccus (Whittier HS) were both
named 1st Team All-Southern California, which means
they are also named All-American for the season.
Tamula, who finished third on the team with 41 goals
and was second with 55 steals, was also a 1st Team
All-South Coast Conference selection. The same holds
true for Baccus, who led the Falcons with 69 goals
and 57 steals, while his 34 assists were second on
the squad.
Sophomore
Dan Biag
(Cerritos HS), who was an All-American last
year, was a 2nd Team All-Southern California
selection, while earning 1st Team All-SCC
recognition. Biag was second on the team with 57
goals and also added 43 steals and 19 assists. Named
2nd Team All-SCC were sophomore Louie
Espinoza (Montebello HS) and
Miguel
Villalobos (Whittier HS),
while sophomores
