After the Vikings opened up a 2-0 lead, the
Falcons cut that in half with a goal from
freshman
Cory Baccus (Whittier HS) at
the 3:17 mark. However, LBCC went on to
score six unanswered goals for a sizable 8-2
deficit Cerritos could not recover from. The
key was the Falcons inability to score on
the man advantage, as they went 0-for-6 in
6-on-5 advantages.
Baccus, along with sophomores
Dan
Biag (Cerritos HS) and
Ryan Tamula (Cerritos HS)
scored the other three goals for the
Falcons, while goalkeepers
Josh Del Toro (Pioneer HS)
and
Kieran Hattie (Sacred Heart
College, New Zealand) combined for
seven saves.
