After coming in second place in the South Coast Conference and a game away from qualifying for the State Championships, the Cerritos College men's water polo team saw several of its players get recognized for the play during the season. The Falcons, who posted a 20-14 record on the year, were led by sophomore Isaac Ogloblin (I.E.S. Cervantes, Spain HS), who was named All-American and 1st Team All-Southern California for the second year in a row, while also being recognized as the conference's Co-Player of the Year. Sophomore Isaiah Irvine (Schurr HS), who also received All-American recognition, was a 2nd Team All-Southern California pick and was named 1st Team All-SCC. Also named 1st Team All-SCC were freshman goalkeeper Michael Skinas (La Serna HS) and freshman Rafael Romero (Montebello HS).
Ogloblin, who led the team with 92 goals and 69 steals, was also second on the team with 50 assists. His 92 goals on the season were the fourth most in a single season in school history, while it gave him 174 career goals, as he finishes his Falcon career second on the all-time list. He trailed only Daniel Garcia, who scored 199 goals in 2001 and 2003. Ogloblin also concludes his career fifth in career assists (77) and third in career steals with 103. As for Irvine, he ended the season with 55 goals, good for third on the team, while he added 32 assists and 41 steals, which puts him 12th on the all-time list with 75 steals. and 11th in career goals with 93.
Skinas recorded 231 saves on the year, which is the third most in a season in school history, while he also registered 63 steals. As for Romero, he led the team with 70 assists to go along with his 66 goals, which were second on the team. His assist total ranks second in school history, behind Chris Argueta, who had 76 assists in 2008, while his 66 goals were the 11th most in a season.
Named to the All-SCC 2nd Team were sophomore Miguel Torres (Montebello HS), as well as freshmen Chad Castro (Whittier HS) and Daric Johnson (Whittier HS). Torres posted 20 goals and 41 steals on the season, while Castro was fourth in the team with 38 goals and added 28 steals. As for Johnson, he recorded 32 goals, 32 steals and 13 assists for the Falcons.
