2006 Softball Bio

JOANNA NAVARRO – 2nd Baseman
Joanna Navarro HS/COLLEGE: South Gate H.S. (2004)

Freshman (2005): Started all 39 games at second base and batted .180 with five doubles and nine RBI… Led the team with 11 stolen bases and was not caught all season… Solid defensive player, as she committed just eight errors and had a .953 fielding percentage… West 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored against El Camino… Drove in the game’s only run in a win over Mt. San Antonio at the Golden West Tournament… Collected two hits and drove in two runs against Rio Hondo…

South Gate H.S. (2004): Played for Coach Gary Cordray in high school… Was a two-time 1st Team All-League selection… Earned her team’s Offensive Player of the Year as a junior…

Personal: Majoring in nursing and is studying to be a registered nurse… Aspires to transfer to Cal State Northridge… Has two sisters – Jessica (17) and Jennifer (10)… Nicknamed “Jo-Jo”… Is the daughter of Jorge Navarro and Laura Prado… Born in Los Angeles, CA on June 28, 1986…..
